Bar-B-King Charcoal-Grilled Barbecue: Incredibly Cheap Angus Beef with Unlimited Rice

The first time I glanced upon Bar-B-King Charcoal-Grilled Barbecue located at the basement of Megamall B was when I was rushing to Akiba Cafe (see previous entry).  It was around dinner time and the place was noticeably full.  I just knew that I'm bound to try it out. =D

Bar-B-King Charcoal-Grilled Barbecue is a fast food and self-service restaurant focusing on charcoal-grilled barbecues like pork, chicken, liempo, Angus burgers, pork chops, steaks, seafood and more.   Bar-B-King also offers unlimited rice and soup with its Bar-B-Meals which makes it really competitive in terms of value.

Bar-B-King Charcoal-Grilled Barbecue had a lot of options to offer.  But, the big poster of the Grilled Angus Beef Belly made it stand out among the rest.

♥ Grilled Angus Beef Belly (150 php)

The Grilled Angus Beef Belly is a complete meal that will surely leave you satisfied.  It is serve with a large chunk of hot charcoal-grilled USDA Certified Angus Beef Belly, Bar-B-Rice, corn and carrors, Au Jus Gravy, tinola soup and a drink of your choice.  The Bar-B-Rice and the tinola soup is unlimited.  But, I doubt you could have one to many rice refills since the Angus Beef Belly is heavy by itself.  The Angus Beef Belly was served hot of the grill so it was tender, savory and succulent.  The Bar-B-Rice is pretty tasty too.  The flavor is unique like a java rice with a hint of barbecue sauce.  It is good to note that they always refill with the Bar-B-Rice unlike other chains that only offer plain rice on your subsequent servings.

Tinola Soup

The Tinola Soup is also unlimited.  It has a strong flavor of salt and seasoning.  Don't expect much from it other than a great warm complement 

UPDATE (August 12, 2012): Got a chance to visit Bar-B-King Charcoal-Grilled Barbecue again yesterday and there has been a drastic change in experience.   I'll try to make a comparative post soon!

Bar-B-King Charcoal-Grilled Barbecue is a must stop when craving for a USDA certified Angus beef that is incredibly cheap.  To be honest, I expect to be disappoint because the price was unbelievable.  But, I was proven wrong.  It was superb!  However, since it is not served on a hot plate though, I advise you eat it as quickly as possible.  I will certainly come back here again to try their other offerings.
