It's not everyday
we get to experience the elegant and luxurious home of
Li Li Ho, an elite socialite from
Hongkong. So, we took our chances and toured
Lili's Restaurant at
Hyatt Hotel. It is
a
Cantonese restaurant made in
Li Li's name. It has garnered quite a number of awards such as one of the best restaurant in the Philippines by
Philippine Tatler and
Dineasia and has been nominated to be part of the Top 20 Best Restaurants in Asia by
Miele.

Li Li's ancestors paintings can be found on the
Upper Dining Area as a sign of respect.

Library and Drawing Room |
The
Library is one of my favorite rooms. It contains book that are of travel and art which are
Li Li's interests. It is also where men hang out after dinner. While, the
Drawing Room is where the woman take comfort while the men are in the
Library. It has its own pantry.
When you avail of their Dimsum All You Can, you are given a list of all available dimsum. You will just check what you want and they will serve your orders right at your table.

|
Sio Mai (Steamed Pork and Dried Scallop Dumpling) |
I have to admit,
Sio Mai is something we casually have at home so it was not something that I would be excited to try. But, Li Li's made it into something special with the dried scallop that's a great enhancement in terms of flavors.
|
Shanghai-style Steamed Pork and Crab Meat Dumpling |
I've always loved
Xia Long Bao. The
Shanghai-style Steamed Pork and Crab Meat Dumpling has a good and tasty soup and soft shell. It has crab meat on top of it which is great too.
|
Pan-fried Shrimp and Spinach Dumpling |
The
Pan-fried Shrimp and Spinach Dumpling is pretty food too. It's my first time to try it and I'm sure it won't be the last.
|
♥ Deep-Fried Taro and Assorted Seafood Dumpling |
I've never been a fan of cooked taro. But, the Deep-Fried Taro and Assorted Seafood Dumpling has made me realize how much of it I have not appreciated. This is amazing! I'll try to have this as much as I can from now on.
|
Beijing-Style Wok-Fried Pork Dumpling |
The
Beijing-Style Wok-Fried Pork Dumpling is pretty good. It reminds me of the Japanese
Mandu and the Japanese
Gyoza.
|
Deep-Fried Bicho-Bicho, Shrimp, Wasabi-Mayonnaise Sauce |
Having eaten dimsum all my life, I find it my loss that I've never tried
Li Li's Deep-Fried Bicho-Bicho, Shrimp, Wasabi-Mayonnaise Sauce. It's a superb mix of textures and flavors.
|
Lobster and Asparagus Dumplings |
The Lobster and Asparagus Dumplings is sweet lobster balls with asparagus. The two are a surprisingly good tandem.
|
♥ Glutinous Dumpling, White Chocolate, Peanut |
Last definitely not the least is the crowd-pleaser Glutinous Dumpling, White Chocolate, Peanut. This sweet glutinous dumpling covered in peanut bits and oozing with white chocolate is so delicious!
