Lia's Cakes in Season: Avocado Cake

Cakes are sweet treats that are always present on our family occasions.  This time, I got to try out Lia's Cakes in Season in Kapitolyo.

We bought their best seller, the Avocado Cake.  The recipe for the cake are passed down from the owner's grand mother.

This is the first time for us to encounter an Avocado Cake so we were excited to try it out.  The cake was covered in avocado cream icing and a generous amount of pistachio bits.

Despite the light color, we were all surprised at the richness of the avocado flavor in the cream.  It was so tasty that the chiffon is the perfect neutralizer for it.  I also enjoyed the lightness of the cream and the softness of the chiffon.  It was very enjoyable to eat.

Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
Lia's Cakes in Season is a great place to buy fruit flavored cream cakes.  Their price is reasonable too.  Though the place is a bit distant, I hope I get a chance to try their Durian Cake in the future.
